On July 26,1983, 19 year old Stacey Arronson was walking along the road when a man in a rattle-trap car drove by her several times.  He eventually got out of his car and lunged at her, trying to drag her down.   Fighting the whole time she grabbed a stick and stabbed the attacker above the eye.  He ran off but not before bleeding on Arronson's shirt.

According to police reports, the bloody shirt was collected as evidence.   But years later when investigators for the defense tried to find the results of the blood from Arronson's shirt, the Michigan State Police lab stated that "it never was sent for testing."

The description of Arronson's attacker somewhat resembled the other Livingston County case.  Both men were slim and had long, curly hair.  But their vehicles differed as much as the MO's they used. Whether or not it was the same man remains unknown.  DNA testing could answer that question but all of the evidence - in the 5 cases charged to Ewing - has disappeared.

The CSC 4 charge against Ewing in the Stacey Arronson case was dismissed  but she, like the others, identified Ewing at Eskridge's private photo show-up.  She also participated in the civil suit against Ewing for monetary damages.
