Ten years after Ewing's conviction in the Wright Case he learned that no results comparing his blood type with the Wright sample exist. Either a test was never performed or one was performed and the results hidden. In 1994 the results of the lab test comparing the vaginal swab to another suspect were recovered. According to this test the vaginal swab contained no B antigens. Ewing is a B+ |
This plate was a test
comparing the Wright vaginal swab with another suspect. The "+4" under the
"B" blood type indicates a lack of B antigens. Ewing's bloodtype is a B
(secretor).
The only way to exonerate Ewing would be through DNA testing. That, however, is impossible since all of the evidence in the Wright (and other) cases has disappeared. |
